CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A Chesterfield man was killed in a car crash in Southwest Virginia earlier this week, according to Virginia State Police.
The crash occurred at around 6:40 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, on Route 23 in Charlotte County.
According to VSP, a Honda Passport was traveling south on Route 23 when it ran off the left side of the road, struck a culvert and overturned. The driver, 39-year-old Anthony J. Moore, of North Chesterfield County, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
Police said Moore was not wearing a seat belt.
The crash remains under investigation.
