16-year-old charged with robbing Hanover County business at gunpoint


HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A teen has been charged with robbing a business in Hanover County at gunpoint. 

The incident occurred shortly before 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30 at a business in the 16000 block of Mountain Road. According to the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect entered the business, displayed a handgun and demanded money. 

The suspect fled the scene with an unknown amount of money and was last seen leaving in a dark-colored older model Ford Explorer.

The sheriff’s office investigated and was quickly able to identify the suspect as a 16-year-old, who was arrested Wednesday and charged with robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
