2 men stabbed at Canal Club in Richmond; search for suspect underway

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Authorities are investigating after two men were stabbed at the Canal Club in downtown Richmond overnight. 

Around 2 a.m., Richmond Police received a report of a stabbing inside the club, located on E. Cary St. in Shockoe Bottom. 

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to a local hospital. 

Police say the second stabbing victim left the scene, but was later transported to the hospital in a private vehicle. 

Police say both men are expected to recover. 

Authorities are still searching for a suspect. No other details of the incident or a suspect description were immediately known.
