STAFFORD, Va. (WRIC) — A Fredricksburg woman was arrested Wednesday morning after she crashed into a ditch and later admitted she was drunk driving.

Authorities saw a vehicle in a ditch at the intersection of Thomas Lane and Musselman Road. When deputies approached the vehicle it was still running but there was no one inside.

The registered owner of the vehicle appeared to live at a nearby residence and was identified as 21-year-old Reese Juggins.

When deputies located Juggins, she was crying hysterically and appeared to be intoxicated. Her eyes were bloodshot and glassy, her speech was slurred, and she smelled like alcohol, authorities said.

Juggins told deputies she was driving to a nearby hotel when she crashed into the ditch.

She admitted to police that she was drunk driving and was taken into custody. She is being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $1000 bond.
