Authorities search for man who led police pursuit into Richmond in stolen car

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Henrico Police are searching for a man who led a pursuit into the City of Richmond in a stolen car on Friday afternoon. 

At around 2:25 p.m., a Henrico Police officer attempted to pull over a reckless driver near East Laburnum Avenue and Bolling Road. The car, a 2003 Honda Civic, was reported stolen, according to Henrico Police. 

A pursuit began after the driver of the stolen vehicle refused to stop and traveled into the City of Richmond. The driver stopped the vehicle eventually and then fled on foot.  

The suspect is described as a black male, who was last seen wearing black pants and a green hoodie, according to Henrico Police. 

Richmond Police reported that the suspect was last seen near Gilpin Ct.
