CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — “Operation March Madness,” an 18-month undercover operation led to the arrests of 12 suspects.
Over 50 indictments were issued in relation to the distribution of heroin, cocaine, prescription pills, and fentanyl.
“I am so proud of the hard work and dedication by our Caroline County deputies and investigators,” said Sheriff A.A. “Tony” Lippa.
The operation was led by Caroline County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators and was assisted by regional law enforcement partners.
Sheriff Lippa said they will keep striving to make their county a safer place to live, work, and raise a family.
Additional arrests are expected as a result of this investigation.
