Chesterfield police looking for man in wig who attempted to rob bank on Midlothian Turnpike

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Police in Chesterfield are looking for a man who attempted to a rob a bank on Midlothian Turnpike Monday afternoon. 

Police say that at about 4:15 p.m., a man entered the First Citizens Bank at 13101 Midlothian Turnpike, approached an employee and passed a note demanding money. Another employee, who was unaware of the note, asked the man to remove his sunglasses. The man then took the note and left the bank without receiving any cash.

The suspect was seen walking toward the nearby American Family Fitness.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 20-30 years old and 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. He had a goatee and was wearing a black wig, a long-sleeved white shirt, sunglasses and a red backpack.
