Chesterfield Police nab suspect in Rite Aid robbery


CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A man has been arrested in connection with a recent robbery of a Chesterfield County Rite Aid. 

Seawn Hunter, 43, of the 3900 block of Walworth Drive, was arrested Thursday and charged with robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police say that at about 9:30 p.m., Hunter entered the Rite Aid — located at 4205 Beulah Road — pulled out his gun and demanded money from the register before fleeing on foot. 

Police identified Hunter after surveying surveillance footage. He was located at around 7:30 p.m. Thursday at a convenience store near the intersection of Beulah and Hopkins roads and taken into custody.

Hunter is being held at Chesterfield County Jail without bond.
