Fairfax teacher charged with multiple child sex crimes in Hanover County

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A northern Virginia teacher has been charged with multiple sex crimes involving children in Hanover County.

The Hanover County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday said 40-year-old Ryan Thomas Pick, of Woodbridge, and charged him with five counts of use of a communication system for crimes against children — all felonies.

8News affiliate WJLA reports that Pick is a teacher at Cameron Elementary School in Fairfax County. He’s been placed on leave without pay, a school official confirmed.

Pick is also listed as the Director of Music at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Woodbridge. 

The investigation is ongoing.
