Police arrest man who broke into, stole car from Fredericksburg auto dealership

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (WRIC) — Police have arrested a man who reportedly broke into an auto finance business in Fredericksburg and stole multiple items, including a camera and then a vehicle, last month. 

According to an email from Fredericksburg Police, an unknown white male forced his way into Fredericksburg Auto Finance, located in the 400 block of Jefferson Davis Highway, at 2:50 a.m. on Nov. 15, and stole a money order and a camera from the business. 

Fredericksburg Police released photos from the store’s surveillance cameras: 

The suspect then stole a 2003 Mercury Sable from the car lot, according to police. 

An investigation led to the arrest of Eric James Pezely, 33, on Dec. 3. Pezely was arrested on charges of burglary with the intent to commit larceny and grand larceny, according to a release from Fredericksburg Police.
