RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Police Department is conducting a death investigation after Sunday’s fatal shooting on Stockton Street.

RPD said officers responded to the 3400 block of Stockton Street at 3:25 p.m. for a report of a shooting. When police arrived at the scene, they said they found a man who was down, unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. RPD said his identity will be released after his family is notified.
