Police investigating burglary at business on VCU campus

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Authorities are investigating a burglary that happened on Virginia Commonwealth University’s campus. 

It happened at a business in the 900 block of West Marshall Street around 5:45 a.m. Friday.

Police say the suspect climbed on a trashcan to access a window of the business. Once inside, the suspect broke into the cash register. 

The suspect is described as a black male, 6 feet tall and was last seen wearing a black jacket and khaki pants.

Richmond Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
