Police: Man shot at Henrico apartments expected to survive

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Authorities located a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound on Friday afternoon after receiving reports of a shooting at a Henrico County apartment complex. 

Henrico Police tweeted that they were investigating in the area of 5600 block of Crenshaw Road for a reported shooting. Officers responded to the Ashley Terrace apartments at around 3: 23 p.m. for the shooting. 

The victim was taken to VCU Medical Center for treatment. The victim, who was not identified, suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said. 

This comes a day after a 5-year-old girl and a man were shot in the county. The girl is fighting for her life after the shooting. 

Shots were also fired into a Henrico County home on Friday. There were also reports of shots fired in a Henrico neighborhood.
