Police need help finding robber who hit victim, stole personal items

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond police are working to identify a man suspected of hitting a victim over the head and then robbing them early Monday morning.

Police said the victim reported that he was struck in the head and robbed by an unknown male in the 300 block of N. 33rd St.

The victim’s wallet and cellphone were stolen. The suspect fled the scene.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect covering his face before approaching the victim.
