Police search for ‘Halloween Grinch’ who stole bags of candy

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Police are searching for a “Halloween Grinch” accused of stealing candy.

An unknown suspect allegedly stole large bags of candy from a business in the 5000 block of Brook Road.

Police say it happened on Oct. 20 around 4:40 p.m.

RACC rescues dog in ‘terrible shape’ from dumpster at Residences at Westover Hills

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Richmond Animal Care and Control said they found a dog in a dumpster at the Residences at Westover Hills.

According to the organization's Facebook page, people saw the dog and called the RACC team. An officer took the dog from the dumpster and took it straight to Virginia Veterinary Centers.

Man accused of crushing officer with door during Capitol riot is arrested

WASHINGTON (WTNH) – A Connecticut man was charged Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia with assaulting a police officer during the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 after investigators say he was caught on video crushing an officer with a sliding door.

Patrick Edward McCaughey III was charged with assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers or employees; civil disorder; entering restricted building or grounds; and violent entry or disorderly conduct.
