Police: Woman pleads for ride, then carjacks driver at gunpoint

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmond Police need the public’s help identifying a woman who carjacked a driver at gunpoint after she was offered a ride. 

Police say the incident occurred shortly after 3 a.m. on Saturday, April 27. The victim was at the 7-Eleven located at 2525 Broad Rock Boulevard when she was approached by an unknown woman who said she was fighting with her boyfriend and needed a ride to a friend’s house. 

The driver agreed and drove the suspect to the 3100 block of Cofer Road. But as soon as the driver parked, the suspect pulled out a gun and demanded them to exit  the vehicle and then drove off.
