RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A Richmond felon faces a decade in prison after he was seen holding a gun in a live video on Facebook.

According to court documents, 29-year-old Timothy Cureton was seen by Richmond police officers in a Facebook live video posted on January 25, where he displayed a brown handgun with an extended magazine.

Officers were soon after tipped off that individuals were storing drugs at an apartment in Creighton Court. During a search warrant of the apartment, two guns were found in a bedroom closet, one being a brown Glock handgun consistent with the gun Cureton displayed in the Facebook live video.

On Friday, Cureton pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm. He will be sentenced on February 5, 2019.
