A man was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly trying to rob the Car Stop Food Mart in Chesterfield.
At about 6:50 p.m., police detained Randolph E. Blackmon, 44, for robbery and threatening to bomb in relation to the incident.
Blackmon approached the clerk of the Car Stop Food Mart and passed a note demanding money.
He then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police arrived in the area and located Blackmon a short distance from the scene.
No weapon was displayed and no injuries were reported during the incident.
Police continue to investigate the case.
