Suspect sought in early-morning Fan District convenience store robbery

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Detectives in Richmond need the public’s help identifying the suspect accused of robbing a Fan District convenience store last week.

The crime occurred at around 1:40 a.m. on Thursday, April 4. Police say an unknown male entered the store, in the 2200 block of West Main Street, and demanded money and cigarettes from the clerk.

The suspect fled the scene and was last seen walking north on Shields Avenue. Police did not specify what items — if any — the suspect made off with. 

The suspect was last seen wearing a “New York” pom-pom knit hat, burgundy jacket and Timberland boots.
