Suspect wanted for stealing more than $1K in tools from vehicle in Shockoe Bottom

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Detectives in Richmond are asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted for stealing from a vehicle last week in Shockoe Bottom.

The theft occurred between 8-9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17. The victim told police that an unknown male stole more than $1,000 worth of tools from his unlocked truck that was parked in the 300 block of Virginia Street. 

Police have released surveillance images of the suspect, who appeared to be wearing a light grey zip-up jacket with a hood and dark grey pants.

Detectives ask anyone with any information about this man’s identity to call First Precinct Detective T. Wilson at (804) 646-0672. Citizens can also call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000. The P3 Tips Crime Stoppers app for smartphones may also be used. All Crime Stoppers methods are anonymous.
