Teen charged in fatal Richmond grocery store parking lot shooting

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – Richmond Police have charged a 17-year-old in connection with the fatal shooting of a woman in the Sabatinos grocery store parking lot Saturday night.

Terrence T. Whitmire, 17, of the 100 block of West Hill Street was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter, reckless handling of a firearm, and juvenile in possession of a firearm.

Just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a call of a person shot in the 4900 block of Government Road. Officers arrived and found Latifah A. Hudnall, 18, of the 900 block of Palace Way, Henrico suffering from a gunshot wound. 

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
