WATCH: Burglars make off with donations jar and cash after breaking into auto shop

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Police in Lynchburg are investigating after burglars stole a donation and cash from an area auto shop.

According to Lynchburg City police, authorities were dispatched for a reported burglary between 2 and 3 a.m. Friday at Endurance Auto Repair and Tire.

Video surveillance shows two people in the building for several minutes before leaving the scene. 

An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen, along with a donations jar which was for the Burundi Hope Project. 

Burundi Hope Project is a non-profit organization that educates and helps children grow in Africa.
