HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A group of Hanover County high school students had a learning experience while helping the community.

Students from Mechanicsville High School’s International Baccalaureate and Emerging Leaders programs visited the Richmond chapter of Rise Against Hunger, a global organization with the goal of expanding food accessibility.

The students packed 3,420 meals and also learned about food safety and how non-profits operate.
