Firefighters fight flames shooting through roof in Hanover

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Hanover fire responded to calls of flames coming out of a roof attached to a garage Tuesday afternoon.

At about 3:40 p.m. Hanover fire arrived on the scene at 6400 block of Little Sorrel Drive.

Fire officials say they were able to contain the fire using an aggressive interior approach. They were able to extinguish the fire.

The homeowners were not home at the time of the fire.

An investigation was conducted by the fire marshals and no injuries have been reported.
