RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — This time last year, Shaun Anderson was right here in Richmond, pitching for the Flying Squirrels. today, he made his major league debut for the San Francisco Giants.

Anderson made the most of it, too, allowing two runs in five innings, striking out five, and even going two for two at the plate with a double.

The Elias sports bureau says Anderson is the first giants pitcher with more than one hit in his first major league game since 1900.
