Ft. Lee soldiers celebrate base’s Centennial by running 100 miles


CENTRAL VIRGINIA (WRIC) — Fort Lee soldiers are running 100 miles through Central Virginia Sunday to commemorate the military base’s 100th anniversary.

More than 100 soldiers participated in the run which traveled through much of the surrounding area.

The final mile of the run will be run early Monday onto the base where the Centennial Celebration will be happening.

Other activities include a parachute demonstration, sports competitions between soldiers, and drill competitions.
