(WRIC) — A girl swimming in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina was injured on Monday after an apparent shark attack.
Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue could not confirm whether a shark bit the girl, but said she was taken to a hospital after a “marine-life incident” a little before 3 p.m. on Monday, according to ABC News.
Cristy Torres, who was at Myrtle Beach celebrating her husband’s birthday, filmed the video of the girl being treated for the wound on her leg.
“All of a sudden we see a family screaming for help,” Torres told ABC News on Tuesday.
Myrtle Beach, a popular tourist destination for Virginians, has had its share of shark sightings.
