Glen Allen All Star baseball team wins World Series title

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL. (WRIC) — Glen Allen’s 10-year-old All-Stars just captured the title in the Babe Ruth Baseball World Series by defeating the team from Norwalk, Connecticut, 4 – 3.

William Hemp led the team in hits with three to go along with a single RBI, according to baberuthleague.org.

Ryan Bland pitched a five-hit game in five innings on the mound, out of a possible six.

The boys finished the tournament 6-0 after defeating teams from Florida, Hawaii, Oregon, Indiana and now Connecticut.

The tournament took place in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
