Henrico County man indicted in shooting death of Ronnie Winstead


UPDATE: Joshua David Jackson was sentenced Wednesday, May 10, to six years in jail in relation to the shooting death of Ronnie Winstead.

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Henrico County Commonwealth’s Attorney Shannon Taylor announced that the Grand Jury for Henrico County returned indictments against Joshua David Jackson of Henrico, Virginia on charges of involuntary manslaughter, shooting in an occupied dwelling, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The charges stem from the shooting death of Ronnie Winstead on January 12, 2014 during a party at 2816 Lito Road in Henrico County.

The case was investigated by Detectives with the Henrico County Police – Cold Case Unit.
