Henrico home invasion has residents on edge

RICHMOND, Va (WRIC) — Police in Henrico County are investigating an early-morning home invasion that has area residents concerned.

At approximately 4 a.m., police say two black males knocked on the door of a home in the 1200 block of Dominion Towns Terrace. The victim told police the two men claimed to be with the gas company.

The victim refused to open the door, but approximately 45 minutes later, the suspects returned. When the victim again denied entry, one of the males displayed a firearm and forced his way into the residence.

Police now look to the community for help identifying the suspects.

The first suspect is described as an 18-24-year-old thin black male, between 5’6 and 5’7 and about 160-175 lbs. He has “very” dark complexion with pronounced cheek bones, is clean shaven with close cut hair and wore a white t-shirt, jeans, reflective vest and white hard hat. He was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.

The second suspect is described as an 18-24-year-old black male, between 5’8 and 5’9 and about 150-165 lbs. He is light skinned and wore a white t-shirt, jeans, reflective vest and a white hard hat.

8News spoke to several residents off camera who described their neighborhood as quiet and safe.
