Kickers helping Richmond Area Bicycle Association raise funds for charity

News

For 17 years the Richmond Area Bicycle Association has come together to raise funds for their Bikes for Kids charity event in the first Saturday of November. They raise the funds, buy new bikes, build them and then donate the newly constructed bicycles to the area’s Christmas Mother’s program for a holiday surpise that will spread smiles across faces of kids in the hundreds.

In 2017, the charity bought and build over 600 bicycles, the most since the event began in 2001.

Now the Richmond Kickers have joined RABA to increase that number even more, after a successful Bike Night in RVA event held a couple of weeks ago that caught the eye of RABA President Wes Surina.

On June 30th, a portion of all ticket sales bought for the Richmond Kickers home game against North Carolina FC through the Richmond Area Bicycle Association will go to the Bikes for Kids charity.
