8 people injured, 2 airlifted in a car crash in Dinwiddie County

DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A two-vehicle crash left 8 people injured in Dinwiddie County, Wednesday afternoon, two of which were airlifted to VCU Medical.

Firefighters responded to a two-vehicle car crash on the 1900 block of Cox Road (U.S. 460).

Upon arrival, firefighters found a two-vehicle collision involving a van with 8 passengers and an SUV with 1 driver.

Seven occupants in the van were injured and the driver of the SUV.

Helicopters responded to the scene and airlifted to injured to VCU Medical in Richmond. Six of the patients were transported to Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg.
