CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Police are investigating a home invasion turned robbery that left one person with minor injuries.

About 11 a.m., police were called to the 700 block of Bannockbarn Drive in the Chesterfield Village Apartment. There, officials learned that three males knocked on an apartment door in the complex and once the victim answered, forced their way inside.

The suspects displayed a firearm and demanded money, police added. One victim sustained a minor injury after being struck in the head. He was treated on scene, according to police.

The three suspects are described as black males, one light-skinned, standing 6-foot-2-inches with dreadlocks.

The remaining suspects were only described as wearing black scarves with jeans.

Police believe this is an isolated incident. There is no immediate danger to the surrounding area as police believe the suspects knew the victim.
