CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Chesterfield Fire and EMS responded to a Wednesday night structure fire at Heritage Pointe apartments.
The department said crews arrived at 5230 Goolsby Court at 8:04 p.m. Firefighters said the occupants had already exited the apartment when they arrived.
Crews saw heavy fire coming from the first floor that extended to the second floor of a unit. However, it did not spread to neighboring units.
The fire was marked under control at 8:28 p.m. and no one was injured as a result of the fire.
Chesterfield Fire said two adults and a child have been displaced, but they are being assisted by the red cross.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated at this time by the Chesterfield Fire Marshals office and Chesterfield PD.
