CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 caused significant delays for drivers in Chesterfield County.

The crash first occurred around 6:15 a.m. on Monday, March 6, and was located on I-95 South near the Woods Edge Road exit.

According to VDOT, the south left shoulder, left lane and center lane have all been closed. Shortly after 6:30 p.m., it was reported that there was a 2-mile-long backup.

According to Virginia State Police, three vehicles were involved in the crash. There were no reported injuries and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

VDOT reported that the scene had been cleared shortly after 8:45 p.m.
