CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Authorities have identified the driver killed in a crash on Courthouse Road Monday afternoon.
The crash, which closed all southbound lanes near Midlothian Turnpike, occurred in the 900 block of Courthouse Road at around 12:10 p.m.
Police said a Cadillac sedan was turning left out of a parking lot to head north on Courthouse Road when it was struck by a Mazda SUV that was traveling southbound on Courthouse.
The driver of the Cadillac, identified by Chesterfield Police as Carla C. Waller, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two passengers in the Cadillac were transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Mazda was hospitalized with injuries that police described as non-life threatening.
The crash closed all southbound lanes near Midlothian Turnpike.
