Debut of ‘Hamilton’ in Richmond coming in November

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — “Hamilton,” the Broadway megahit and winner of 11 Tony Awards, will be making its debut in Richmond in November as a part of the Broadway in Richmond 2019-2020 season.

The show, which also won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, will come to Richmond’s Altria Theater from Nov. 19 – Dec. 8, 2019.

The story, which has captivated fans in Puerto Rico, London and across the nation, centers on Alexander Hamilton’s journey from being an immigrant from the West Indies to one of America’s Founding Fathers.

The Broadway in Richmond site describes it as a show, “featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, HAMILTON is the story of America then, as told by America now.”

The price of the tickets and when you can get them is unclear. It’s recommended to sign up for the Broadway in Richmond email list to learn when you can get tickets.

Also, the only legitimate way to purchase your “Hamilton” tickets will be from the Altria Theater box office or Tickets listed on other sites or from anywhere else will not be guaranteed to be legit or correctly priced.

Getting seats is expected to be tough and the only way people can guarantee seats is by subscribing for the 2019-2020 season.
