DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — An early Tuesday morning fire destroyed a home in Dinwiddie County.

According to the homeowner, the fire sparked around 2:30 a.m. in a shed behind her home and then spread quickly to the house, which is located on Shoreview Drive.

The homeowner says it took crews roughly 30 minutes to the home, and that there was a lack of water in the area to fight the fire. It was marked under control around 5 a.m.

No injuries were reported.

The homeowner told 8News she’s devastated because they recently remodeled the kitchen and roof. But she said neighbors are giving her a helping hand.

The cause of the fire remains unclear. Stay with 8News for updates.
