Girl Scout cookie season kicks off with mega drop off

Local News

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — It’s that time of year. Girl Scout cookies are starting to be sold again and things kicked off with a major drop off Friday in Richmond.

Scouts and leaders gathered at the Diamond to pick up their orders.

Molly Fuller, the CEO of Girl Scouts of the Commonwealth of Virginia, says that there is so much more to the cookie program than meets the eye.

When asked about the importance of the yearly program, she says “you really see through your goals, you see through a plan. It’s customer service at it’s finest. It’s teamwork, it’s goal setting. That really is the power of the cookie program.”

Events like this have been going on across the country. There is a mega drop off like this one scheduled for Saturday in Chesterfield County.
