Governor Ralph Northam will honor Vietnam veterans at the Virginia War Memorial on Thursday, March 29.
He will present a group of veterans with a special National Vietnam Veterans Day lapel pin.
Across the country, March 29 is recognized as National Vietnam Veterans Day. It is also Vietnam Veterans Day in Virginia.
According to the Virginia Department of Veterans Services, more than 20,000 of the 725,000 veterans who reside in the Commonwealth are Vietnam War veterans.
Thursday’s ceremony begins at 12:30 p.m. at the Virginia War Memorial, 621 South Belvidere Street in Richmond.
