HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A crash on Interstate 95 caused delays for drivers in Ashland.

The crash was first reported shortly before 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4, and was located on I-95 South near the England Street exit.

According to VDOT, all southbound lanes were closed at one point with a three-mile-long backup.

Motorists had previously been warned of potential delays in the area due to roadside maintenance.

Shortly after 7:15 a.m., VDOT reported that all lanes had been reopned.
