UPDATE: 12:13 a.m.- According to VDOT, the backup is clear and all lanes are open.

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A vehicle crash on Interstate 95 southbound caused significant delays for drivers in Hanover County Tuesday evening.

The crash was first reported by VDOT at 10:10 p.m. and was located near the Lewistown Road exit in Hanover County.

The two left southbound lanes have been closed due to the crash. According to VDOT, the backup reached four miles long.
