HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Charges were filed last week against the treasurer of the Patriot Navy Cadet Parents organization, a group that supports Navy Junior ROTC students from Patrick Henry High School, for allegedly embezzling thousands of dollars.

According to court records, Ervin took close to $5,000 raised by the group. The funds were supposed to support the NJROTC students.

The organization is run by parents and is not affiliated with Hanover County Public Schools.

Ervin is out on bond after being in court Thursday morning. She will be back in court next month.
