HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is welcoming a new member of the K9 unit, “Jud.”

Jud is a bloodhound that was donated to the HCSO by a couple who unexpectedly lost their 17-year-old son.

Deputy Reed decided that the best way to honor the family was to name his new K9 partner “Jud,” after the couple’s late son.
