Traffic alert for Ashland's 36th Annual Strawberry Faire

ASHLAND, Va. (WRIC) -- The 36th Annual Strawberry Faire is Saturday, June 16, in Ashland. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, but there are several road closures and parking changes in the day before the event. 

Starting at 11 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, all cars parked on the street in the areas of Henry Street, College Avenue, and Caroline street where "No Parking" signs are posted must be moved. 

The following roads will be closed with limited access from 10 a.m. on Friday, June 15, to about 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 16. 

  • Henry Street from England to Smith Street
  • College Avenue from North Taylor to North Center Street
  • Caroline Street from Henry to North Taylor Street

Drivers can expect heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic on England Street (Route 54) between Henry Street and Center Street throughout the day on Saturday, June 16. Those traveling in the area but not visiting the Faire may want to find a different route.
