4 displaced after attic fire in Henrico’s East End

Henrico County

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A fire that started in the attic of a Henrico County home has displaced four people on Wednesday.

Henrico fire crews responded to a home in the county’s east end, located in the 200 block of Forest Avenue, a little before 6 p.m. for reports of a house fire.

Once they arrived, firefighters found fire and thick black smoke coming from the attic. While completing a sweep of the home to find any occupants or pets, crews quickly put the fire out.

The four occupants of the home safely exited the home before firefighters entered after being alerted by smoke alarms.
