HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Four people suffered smoke inhalation after fire erupted inside a West End apartment Tuesday morning.
Fire crews were called to the blaze just after 10:15 a.m. in an apartment complex in the 4900 block of Beaver Lane.
One person had to be rescued from a first-floor apartment where officials say the fire started. Residents of the entire apartment building were evacuated while crews battled the blaze.
Among the four people injured, one had to be taken to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
