Electrical fire in Henrico damages residents’ attic

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Firefighters responded to a home in Henrico County after an electrical fire caused damage to an attic on Monday. 

Henrico Fire received a call around 1:48 p.m. on August 6 after a neighbor noticed smoke coming from a home across the street. 

Crews responded to the residence, in the 2100 block of Summerhook Court, for an electrical fire that started in the home’s attic, according to Henrico Fire.  

Two residents of the home were inside at the time of the fire but were unharmed. 

Henrico Fire told 8News at the scene that it was great that the home’s smoke alarms worked.
