Henrico Police officer dies after ‘courageous’ battle with cancer

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Henrico County Police Department is mourning the loss of one of their own.

Officer Andrew G. Campo, 32, passed away Tuesday morning after a ‘courageous battle with cancer,’ the department posted on its Facebook page.

“Our hearts are heavy today,” the department wrote. “Please keep Andrew’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.”

Officer Campo joined the Henrico Police Department in 2009. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2009 and also served in the U.S. Coast Guard
