Man fighting for his life after Whitcomb Court shooting

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Police say a man is fighting for his life after being shot in the city’s Whitcomb Court development Saturday morning. 

Officers were called to the area of Bethel St. & Carmine St. following reports of a shooting, according to Lt. Marshal, a spokesman with Richmond Police. 

There, police found a 30-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police say the man is currently in surgery. 

No information regarding a possible suspect description has been released at this time. 

According to police, the victim has been uncooperative throughout the early stages of their investigation.
